“FLAWSOME (adj.) An individual who embraces their “
flaws” and knows they’re awesome regardless.“
Hey babes, I know I know, I’ve been slacking on the posts. You know there’s this thing called life, and it happens but I promise to make a better effort to come at you with those blogs. This is probably going to be one of my favorite blogs, I guess because at one point in my life, I had really bad skin. I literally did not feel comfort in my own skin, pretty crazy right? Although recently my skin as taken a 360 turn around and I couldn’t be more SHOOK..
okay so for years I always had problematic skin, blemishes and dark under eyes, you name it. It really made me feel so insecure of my natural look, I literally wouldn’t leave the house let alone go out in public without any makeup on. I know, pretty embarrassing, and I was jealous of the girls who could and would go out with no make up and still look flawless. It wasn’t until I really decided to invest in my skin, I wanted my makeup to look seamless and I wanted to one day be able to go out in public and feel confident in my skin. I tried several products, from high end to drugstore and I found some that work and some that were a total fail.
Let me start off with the Boscia, I scored this hot tamale at Marshalls, YES I said Marshalls, I seriously hit the jackpot. Can you even guess how much I got it for? $6.99!! This Oil Free Daily Hydration Moisturizer goes for about $36 at Sephora, which is such a steal if you ask me. I’ve been trying this and I absolutely love it, it leaves my face feeling moisturized but not with that oily greasy feeling either, especially since I have oily skin. It leaves my face feel matte and drys face for those quick mornings.
I’ve always suffered from dark under eye circles, I think I was just born that way or I blame all that late night staying up when I was a teenager lol, because it sucks! I always have to pile on the concealer to look alive. I started using this Yes to Grapefruit Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream, this normally runs $15.99, but I found this gem at Marshalls $5.99, I was really having a good day at Marshalls lol, but I’ve been using this religiously and I can notice the difference in the appearance of my under eyes. They are appearing brighter and I can notice less creasing as well with concealer. Must try!
Last gem I found at Marshalls, was this By Nature from New Zealand moisturizing face serum packed with coconut oil, rose hip oil and green tea extract. Beside the fact that this smells amazing, it feels so good on the skin, I like to use this after I’ve cleansed and used a toner to give my skin some moisturizer. This normally runs for about $20 and I scored it for $9.99. Winning!
I had been saving my reward points at Sephora, waiting for something really good to cash them all in, and well I decided to cash in some for the GlamGlow kit that came with a bunch of minis, I’ve always loved and heard good reviews on their products but never wanted to break the bank to actually purchase one, cause if you know they are a pretty penny. Well let me just say that I actually might have to purchase this full size GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD clearing treatment, I like to use this as a spot treatment, as soon as I feel a little friend popping out I put some on for about 15 mins and wash off. Literally prevents my friends from saying hi! $22-$69
The next two are my absolute fav, Clean and Clear has these two bomb products, first is the Morning burst hydrating gel moisturizer, OMG this stuff smells and feels amazing on the skin. So refreshing and especially in the morning when your half awake, really makes your skin feel refreshed. $7.29
Last but not least, Clean and Clear Deep Cleaning toner, is an essential for your skin care routine. I like to use this after I’ve taken all my makeup off with a makeup remover wipe, I take a round flat cotton swab and rub this all over my face. It takes off all the remaining makeup you thought you took off but is still lingering on. It leaves your face oil free and feeling smooth. $4.29
These have really made a huge difference in my skin, like literally night and day. I now feel so confident in my skin, I can actually go out in my natural skin and feel Flawless! If you would of met me a few months ago that would have not been the case. Don’t get me wrong this didn’t happen over night and it took some time, also I’m sure other factors come in as well like drinking plenty of water, and not eating so much crap we love. Ugh, who wants to do that right? Well hopefully you can try some of these products and they can work wonders like they have for me.
If you know any good products, help a girl out! I’m always looking for good skin care products, because like they say.. you have to have a beautiful canvas in order to have your makeup glide right on! Plus, this is the only skin we have , lets take care of it!
Until next time babes,
